Mount Baker, the View from Kendra's Vancouver balcony and Bridal Falls

Travelling the Trans Canada in the Fraser Valley, near Abbotsford, the unmistakable snow-capped Mount Baker comes into view!  A majestic giant that remains snow covered most of the summer, at least at the top towers over all other surrounding Rockies.
Kendra is going to miss this view from her balcony, one that she has enjoyed for the last four years.  This is an unobstructed view of English Bay and Whistler!  But Prince George beckons and her Pharmacy residency courses, so pics will remain part of her memory bank. She will really miss the convenience of her shopping experiences at Broadway and Granville too.
Bill and I hiked up once again to Bridal Falls, one dry day in early May.  It is unbelievable how much water cascades over the falls, beginning their downward travels form mountain peaks high above.  In the short couple of weeks that we were in the area, most of the snow had melted and made its way over rocks and through rock crevasses.  Beautiful, refreshing Spring!

April and May Showers bring on Rhododendrons!

There is so much rain here in the Fraser Valley that everything is so green and the rhododendron and azaleas are magnificent in brilliant fuschia and purple!  I remarked to Ryan the other day, that even a bad golf course is made to look beautiful with all the rain and moisture.  Cutting grass goes on every other day and it is very thick!  Sheep and goats can not keep up!  Forgive the pole in the picture below, but this was taken from the car windshield.  Everywhere we look, there are magnificent rhodies as hedges and trees, not the bushes of ON.  Wow!  very impressive!

Daniel's 3rd Birthday!

I need to update some pictures.  This is an oldie! Today, May 28th, is Daniel's 3rd birthday!  My oh my, where does the time go and how D is growing up so fast!  It seems impossible that he is already three, running, jumping, talking and learning to write, read and do simple math questions!  Unbelievable!  He is such a happy, happy guy and just loves life!  Happy Birthday, Daniel!  We love you!  When Grandma sees you soon, I need to take your picture to add to my blog and my wall.  Love you!
Unfortunately we are in Chilliwack, waiting for Kendra to return so we can move her to Prince George for her residency program.  Celebrating Daniel's birthday will take place the week of June.  More cake to celebrate, Daniel, with ice cream, one of the food groups, Grandad says!  Hugs!
