Caper's Stroke

May 17th while having his much needed bath, Caper suffered a mild stroke that has affected his mobility on his left side by leaving him partially paralyzed; he was unable to stand on his left legs and  his walk amounted to stumbles.  His front leg to the first joint would fold under him and he dragged his back leg.  Never before had Cowboy offered to share Caper's bed, but as if he knew that Caper was unwell, he lay down beside Caper for most of this day and the next.
It is amazing how much Caper's mobility has returned, but we have had to put a bright blue boot on his hind leg as he tends to drag it and bloody his nails.  He is walking much better this week!  We will continue to enjoy his company for awhile longer!

Mother's Day 2012

This beautiful arrangement was given to me by my family for Mother's Day!  Hydrangea, roses, tulips, muscari and freesia blended their blue and red blossoms beautifully.  I am the luckiest Mom in the world to have such great kids and a grandson.  Proud of you and love you forever.  Thank you for thinking of me on this special day!

Camperland and Bridal Veil Falls

Because Kendra graduates at the end of May and because we have a Holiday Trails membership, we decided to visit one of the resorts in the system. Camperland is the name of the resort and it is a beautiful park, with open areas and sites divided by cedar hedges as well as some heavily treed areas.  I would imagine that in the summer this is one very busy place as there is a waterslide adjacent to the park.  Also adjacent is Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park with access to it via a trail from Camperland.  Bill and I set out to find the Falls with Caper and Cowboy.  Wow!  Quite beautiful!  The falls are fed by snow capped mountain peaks which appear to be still quite deep.  It is amazing the force of this water; it is also very cold!

LaConnor WA and White Rock BC

It has been well over a month since I last posted, so I will attempt to bring you up-to-date.
April 22 and 23rd we headed to LaConnor WA to Potlatch RV Resort.  Little did we know that LaConnor celebrates a tulip festival and this happened to be the weekend.  Wow!  The traffic!  Fields of tulips everywhere with lookers everywhere too!  Beautiful!
Even the cenotaph was appropriately blooming with brightly coloured tulips.  Such a great Spring welcome!

Later that same weekend we crossed into Canada at Peace Arch and headed to Pacific Border RV Resort.  Rhododendron and azalea were in full bloom....such beautiful and vibrant colours, they are show-stoppers!  Everywhere in the beautifully groomed grounds of this park, we were greeted with such colour!  Welcome to Spring!
